Attention, Bobcats! Picture day is coming soon for your grade level! Photos will be taken during your English class period on the following dates: juniors on Wednesday, September 20. Freshmen and sophomores, if you missed your picture day last week, retakes will be October 24. Seniors, you will need to take your portrait at the Photo Studio by October 28! Call 944-4406 to schedule your senior photos.

Congrats to the bobcat tennis team for beating Odessa High and Permian this weekend to go 2 and 0 in district play and 18 and 3 overall! Your bobcats have a home tennis match today and will be back on the grind this weekend at home for two more district matches against Midland High and Midland Legacy! Come on out and support your bobcat tennis team! Sic'em!

Juniors and Seniors, Baylor University will be on Campus for a college visit TODAY, during 5th period in the library. Baylor is a nationally ranked graduate and professional education programs that equip students to bring inquiry and innovation. If you would like to sign up for the college visit, please come by the counseling center and sign up with our counseling secretaries today.

Also, Houston Christian University will be hosting a zoom on campus for a college visit on September 21, 2023, during 2nd period in the library. Houston Christian University offers an intimate college environment in the heart of one of the most vibrant and diverse cities in the United States: Houston, Texas. If you would like to sign up for the college visit, please come by the counseling center and sign up with our counseling secretaries today.

Student Council members, we are meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, September 20th, in Ms. Folks’ room Schweitzer 106 the first part of lunch for a quick meeting. If you cannot attend go by her room and pick up an agenda. Thanks and see you there.

Central Students and Staff, this week is Constitution Week, and we hope you will join Student Council and your Social Studies teachers in celebrating this important American document. The Constitution is the Framework for our current government. We want to challenge you with a little Constitution trivia. Which Founding Father is considered the Father of the Constitution? The answer tomorrow.

Are you involved in theatre? Do you want to be? Join the Central T-Cats for our first Thespian meeting of the year tomorrow, Wednesday, September 20. We will meet after school in the theatre where we will go over information about getting involved in our department, get to know each other, and hone our theatre skills. Technicians and actors alike are welcome. We will take a group picture so wear a theatre shirt if you have one! See Mrs. Smith for more information.

Students….on October 17 you will be taking a College Readiness Exam. Freshman will all be taking the English portion of the TSIA. Sophomores will all be taking PSAT/NMSQT. Juniors have the option of choosing between the PSAT/NMSQT or the ASVAB and Seniors have the option of choosing between the ACT or ASVAB. Juniors and Seniors, please find a green flier with a QR code to sign-up for the test you would like to take. You may also ask any of your teachers for the link or QR code which they received in the Bobcat Bulletin from Mrs. Ross. The deadline to choose the exam you prefer is this Friday. If you have not made your selection by September 22, we will choose for you.

Staff…..please make sure to complete the Google Form linked in the Bobcat Bulletin indicating which test you would prefer to proctor no later than Friday.

Today we are serving free lunch at Emmanuel Episcopal Church just a few blocks away on 3 S Randolph St. Our volunteers will be cooking chicken spaghetti, green beans, and salad for lunch today! All students are welcome to come enjoy a free lunch!

San Angelo ISD Athletic App

San Angelo ISD has launched a new sports website and mobile app to provide our sports fans with highlights of student-athletes and the achievements of the district’s middle and high school teams. The athletics homepage (www.saisdathletics.org) includes an events calendar, news, tickets, broadcasts and more. Additionally, each middle and high school including Glenn Middle School, Lincoln Middle School, Lone Star Middle School, Central High School, and Lake View High School, have their own webpages with links specific to their campus athletic teams. 

San Angelo ISD Career and Technical Education Graphic Design II Students Add Augmented Reality to Concho Valley Murals

On Wednesday, September 13, San Angelo ISD high school Career and Technical Education (CTE) Graphic Design II students visited murals across San Angelo in which they played a part in bringing to life through augmented reality. Through a collaboration with Art in Uncommon Places, the students were able to augment ten murals as part of their lessons and provide real live applications of these skills outside of the classroom.
