Good morning Central, today Grace and Grub will be serving chicken spaghetti.

Students over the next two week we will be taking the STAAR Tests.  If you are testing and have a school issued device, it is mandatory that you bring the device and charger with you on your testing day.  Letters will be distributed during 5th period this Thursday letting you know what tests you will be taking.  If you have any questions please see Ms. Flores in the AP Suite, Tucker 105.

Central Prom is THIS weekend! Don’t let the cost of a dress keep you from going. Student Council is sponsoring the Princess Project. Contact your counselor or Ms. Folks in Schweitzer 106 for more information. Because everyone should feel like a Princess at Prom!

Attention Junior and seniors, tomorrow by 4:00 pm is your last chance to buy your Prom tickets in the Student Service Center for $20 each; cash or check only.

Attention seniors— today is your last chance to vote for Prom King and Queen.  You can go to Central’s website or ask your English teacher for more information.

The deadline to order yearbooks is TOMORROW.  We are very close to selling out because we have a limited amount of yearbooks available and we will not be able to order any more copies once we sell out.  If you are able to pre-order your copy, the cost is $65.  If there are any available after Friday’s deadline, those will be sold first-come, first-served when they arrive in May and will be $75.  There will only be a few copies available per grade level to purchase if they don’t sell out by Friday.  Save money by pre-ordering and guarantee that you receive a yearbook before they are all sold!  Go to to pre-order your copy today!

Seniors, get ready to have some fun in the sun and get wet at the Senior Picnic! The Picnic will be on Wednesday, May 5th after school until 6:30 at the Goodfellow Rec Camp.  There will be food, music, and plenty of water slides.  Be sure to buy tickets for your chance at winning tons of great prizes.  Tickets and Senior Picnic t-shirts are on sale now at your Senior English class.  T-shirts are $10 and they are going fast!

BOBCATS MUSICIANS ARE EVEN BETTER TOGETHER! The Central Choir and Orchestra together with the ASU Choir and Orchestra have joined forces to present Vivaldi’s setting of the Gloria. This musical masterwork features almost 100 musicians singing and playing. This is a rare opportunity to hear some amazing music with a special combination of people. The performance is this Friday, April 30, at 7:00pm in the beautiful Murphey Performance Hall, downtown. The concert is free and no ticket is required - just show up! We hope you will come out and hear the wonderful music by our combined ASU Ram and Central Bobcat musicians!

Come see Central’s own show choir, The HarmoniCats, on Monday in their annual spring show. This year’s show is “Dancing through the Decades” and the music takes us on a journey of hits from the present day and goes all the way back to the 1950s. Soloists, small groups, and our graduating seniors will also be highlighted.

The show is at 7:00 PM on Monday, May 3, at the San Angelo Performing Arts Center Brooks & Bates Theater. Tickets are only $5 and can be purchased on SAPAC’s website or at the door starting one hour prior to the show. Please don’t miss it! These students have been working hard all year long to put on a super-fun show and there’s nothing else like it - Monday, May 3.

SAISD and ASU Announce Enhanced Presidential Dual Credit Scholars Program

San Angelo ISD and Angelo State University are excited to announce an enhanced Presidential Dual Credit Scholars partnership which will provide additional, in-person dual credit core course offerings to our students at Lake View High School taught by ASU professors and Lake View High School credentialed teachers.

The 2020 - 2021 school year has presented us with unprecedented challenges; however, as a partner with our community, we continued to provide both in-person and virtual instruction for all students in San Angelo ISD. At this time, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has not approved school districts to offer virtual instruction as a replacement for in-person attendance for the 2021 - 2022 school year. As a result, SAISD does not plan to offer instruction through the Virtual Learning Academy for students in the 2021 - 2022 school year.
